We depend solely on volunteers for all activities in the UK, so we would love to hear from any of you if you are interested in volunteering your time to help with fundraising or other activities of our charity here.
We regularly have openings on the football project for volunteer placements. Volunteers assist in coaching the teams and players, focusing on team and football skills, as well as assisting in the process of selecting different players. On this project, volunteers will also get the opportunity to get involved and assist with other activities of the project, such as HIV and health workshops as well as art and drama. Due to the sensitive nature of the work carried out at the transitional centre with children who have complicated cases and traumatic experiences, we therefore appeal for longer term volunteers with specific skill sets that are related to the work we carry out. These include teachers, nurses, social workers, marketing and restaurant management and accountants, in addition to other skills such as drama, music and art. It is essential for the daily costs involved in the running of the charity from our base in the UK. An agreed amount would be allocated and spent wisely on the most productive marketing campaigns throughout the year. This would generate large volumes of traffic to our website, raising awareness as well as donations online. Our sponsors would be given exposure through out the year on all campaigns. An opportunity is also available to sponsor the running costs of the projects we support giving your company or business exposure internationally.

Fundraise for us by shopping online: It takes a few minutes to register and you need to link your account to Cheka Sana but once you have done that it’s easy! Every time you order something online you need to log on to www.easyfundraising.org.uk first and then link through the site you want. Each company has different percentages and amounts they donate but it all adds up!

Recycle for charity: Unsure of what to do with your old mobile phones or printer cartridges? Why not recycle for Cheka? Raise money for Cheka Sana and help the environment by recycling your old mobile phones, empty inkjet cartridges, mobile phones and laser or toner cartridges!
